I was born and raised in Colorado, yep a native.. I was never the girly girl who always wore makeup and did her hair. I grew up playing soccer, I was pretty good I might add.
How did I become a Bridal hair and makeup artist? It really fell into my lap! My first up do was my sisters when I was 12yrs old. My sister came home on her wedding morning appointment crying asking her little sister who just learned how to french braid to braid her hair for the wedding. Turns out the stylist was sick and they had no room for my sister's hair. Poof! I rocked it and she looked Amazing! :) I didn’t really think about it for a long time. And years passed I was working my retail job and was completely bored and when my sister came into town at just the right time I was thinking i needed a change, as a artist at heart and while I was thinking of cosmetology school- it was perfect timing because I remembered the look and feeling my sister had given me when I finished braiding her hair and it was pure happiness, love, and excitement.
While in cosmetology school I was the girl asking everyone if they would let me style their hair in updos - forcing the other students to watch updo video and new makeup techniques. After some real heart searching I knew doing wedding hair and makeup was where I was meant to be. I started my business slowly right out of school and it’s grown to be one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things in my life. I continue to grow as I learn from all the stylists I have mentored and helped.
My Philosophy
My philosophy and approach to hair and makeup is different from most hair and makeup artists. I see all women as a work of art. I want to create the most naturally romantic looks with hair that flows with texture and makeup that complements your features. I want to make you feel beautiful and become the most naturally romantic version of yourself. I get inspired by fashion and fine art photography, and want you to become that woman on the front of the magazine.
My K Team
We specialize in romantic hair and makeup styles. We have the most laid back hair and makeup stylists. We are what I like to call the chameleons on your wedding day. If your group is a high energy dancing crowd or easy going crowd who just did yoga you bet we will fit right in and become your new best friends. What’s in it for you, you ask? You will have the bridal team of your dreams, we are on time, we will make you feel calm and relaxed. We are trained in all the latest techniques of flawless natural beauty, and we can handle any situation!
